Today we received a call from a caller ID: v53116370500000 and from the number, 1.800.959.8281 (Spoofed number)
(a “Spoofed” Fake number made to look like it came from CRA, it’s not the Canadian Revenue Agency)
They masked their real number to make it look like they are calling from the revenue agency. By the way, companies that enable criminals to hide their identity to commit crimes should be investigated. Spoof number sites have no value but to commit a crime.
This is how the call went. Hello (strong Indian accent) are you so and so? (it was a wrong number, but we indulged)
Me: “What do you want?”,
Indian Scam Caller: Are you so and so?”
Me: ” What Company are you calling from?”
Indian Scam Caller: “CRA”
Me: “What’s that?”
Indian Scam Caller: Got really pissed and called me a Mother fu&%$, then hung up!

The Fake Fraudulent Visa Charges Call
On December 4th, 2020 we received a scam call from an automated system from 1.519.526.6561 telling us that fraudulent gift cards were purchased on my Visa card. They went on to say that the perp bought several gift cards and that it looks suspicious because I never purchased these cards before. The problem is, I don’t have a Visa.
Do not fall for it. Call the police and report them ASAP.
